Holiday Pick-Up Schedule
Alpine operates regularly scheduled collection services ONE DAY LATER during the week of major holidays. Holidays include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
No need to sort! All can go into one specially marked recycle container !

They cannot accept:
Styrofoam packing peanuts; Plastic Wrap (e.g. Saran); Plastic Bags of any kind; Syringes
Clamshell or "to go" Food Containers; Plastic/Foam Egg Cartons
Six-pack Ring Holders; Plastic Cutlery, Bowls or Plates; #7 "PLA" Plant Based Plastics
Tyvek (polyethylene fiber) plastic overnight mailing folders
They can accept:
Plastic -- We accept plastics 1 - 7. Here are some examples of plastics that are ok to recycle:
Steel – Please make sure any aerosol cans are totally empty. This would include container such as shaving cream and hairspray cans. Labels are OK.
Cardboard – Make sure to flatten cardboard. No waxed-lined cardboard is accepted in the recycling mix. Wax-lined cardboard can be composted.
Brown paper bags
Chip or Paperboard – This type of material includes items such as:
Newspaper – We accept the entire newspaper including the inserts and ads
Bulk or Junk Mail – This material is OK as well. Do not worry about any stamps or staples or sticky notes in this material as well. Remember, if you can Tear it, throw it in.
Office Paper – All types of office paper are accepted. If you can tear it, we can take it. All colors are fine as well. Don’t worry about paperclips, staples, tape, and sticky notes. These are all OK in the mix.
Magazines, Catalogs, Phone Books - - Please DISCARD plastic bags around these items and items such as CD’s and magnets. Everything else is OK.
