A Place to call home

The Heather Ridge Colorado community consists of charming homes in 10 distinctive neighborhoods, surrounding a Metro Denver resident owned public golf course. HeatherRidge South is the southern-most of these communities.

Following a change in the Heather Ridge Country Club ownership in 2002, many speculators were interested in purchasing the golf course land for further residential development and subsequent elimination or major reduction in size of the golf course. After years of negotiation, in 2009 the newly formed Heather Ridge Metropolitan District representing the homeowners acquired The Heather Ridge Golf & Country Club, thus preserving the 18 hole golf course.

The acquisition of Heather Ridge Golf & Country Club was done with three specific community goals:
    1) Preserve the open space as a golf course,
    2) Protect the surrounding homeowner property values,
    3) Maintain the Heather Ridge way of life.

The golf course and club facilities are now open to the public.

Our community is less than 1 mile from fishing, boating, swimming, horseback riding, and hiking in the 4,200 acre Cherry Creek State Park.

Also 3 blocks away is the new Heather Ridge at Iliff RTD light rail station (completion expected 2017) offering 20 minute light rail access to downtown Denver & all its many event venues.

Within the immediate Heather Ridge community are numerous restaurant choices, hotels, shopping, and the Aurora Regional Medical Center. The new University of Colorado Medical Research Center and campus is located appx 4 miles north.

Heather Ridge is located in the nationally ranked Cherry Creek school district.

The unique Heather Ridge neighborhoods have their own private swimming pools and clubhouses. All neighborhoods are within a block of the golf course and clubhouse. (For the avid golfer, there are eight other golf courses within 3-5 miles of Heather Ridge. (Kennedy, Aurora Hills, Heather Gardens, Centre Hills, Meadow Hills, Common Ground, Fitzsimons & Windsor Gardens).
